September 2010: Ashling’s PathFinder-XD Debugger Software: Fully Functional, Unrestricted and Free of Charge!
Ashling Microsystems, a NeST Group company, has announced the availability of a fully functional and unrestricted simulation debug environment initially available for MIPS architectures. PathFinder-XD, a C/C++ source debugger based on the Eclipse/CDT framework and operating on Linux x86 and Windows™ hosts provides full support for debugging bare-metal and embedded Linux based applications. The software is now available for download on Ashling’s website.
The free PathFinder-XD Simulator software is targeted at MIPS™ architectures and includes the popular QEMU simulator which allows you to download and debug your MIPS™ based application programs without any target hardware.
For hardware debugging on your target hardware, Ashling has an extended PathFinder-XD product allowing support for Ashling’s Opella-XD JTAG and Vitra JTAG and Trace Debug Probes. The high performance of these Debug Probes makes them particularly suitable for large, complex, software-intensive projects requiring fast code download.
