August 7th, 2019 – Limerick, Ireland.Ashling announced today that the Ultra-XD Real-Time Trace Probe, supporting Synopsys’ DesignWare® ARC® HS and ARC EM processor families, has been extended to support the latest versions (v2) of Synopsys’s ARC Trace Interface Option.
Developed in close cooperation with Synopsys, the Ashling Ultra-XD Trace Probe integrates seamlessly with the Synopsys ARC MetaWare Debugger and provides high-speed, real-time trace and runtime control debug for embedded software development on DesignWare ARC processors with the new Trace Interface Option.

The Synopsys ARC MetaWare Debugger offers advanced debugging features, including the ability to re-run/debug programs post-execution using a “replay” feature available with ARC processors. This enables forward/backward execution in time with detailed debug visibility, leveraging trace data captured by the Ultra-XD probe.
