Redwood City, California, USA-Ashling (a subsidiary of the NeST Group) and AM Technologies announced a collaboration to provide remote monitoring solutions for IoT-based designs and products.
The number of IoT devices is growing rapidly, projected to reach tens of billions by 2020. As IoT applications grow in complexity, cloud computing models will be strained. Many devices must transmit large volumes of data through low-bandwidth links (e.g., NB-IoT, LoRa) while operating under limited power availability.
To address these challenges, Ashling and AM Technologies are combining expertise in Remote Monitoring, IoT, and RISC-V development tools. RISC-V technology, based on a reduced instruction set, optimizes speed and efficiency while consuming less power, making it ideal for embedded IoT applications.
“Our collaboration with AM Technologies gets Ashling closer to our vision to become a dominant solution vendor for the IoT market.” – Guy Rabbat, President and CEO of Ashling Systems.
AM Technologies has over four decades of experience in Remote Monitoring across telecom, broadband, data centers, and smart buildings. Its “amiot” IoT platform enables customers to “Connect, Monitor and Act”, linking IoT sensors to cognitive cloud intelligence for enhanced system management and productivity.
Ashling provides the RiscFree™ Ecosystem, a cloud platform and IoT test bed for RISC-V application development. It includes an IDE, RISC-V compiler, RTOS-aware debugging, JTAG probe, trace, and simulation with hardware modeling.
The RiscFree™ IDE for RISC-V is now available directly from Ashling. More details at www.ashling.com.
