Ashling Debug and Trace support for Synopsys ARC® and ARC-V™ Processors

Ashling have been a long-term Synopsys partner for over fifteen years and provide debug (Opella-XD) & trace probe (Vitra-XSsolutions for Synopsys ARC and ARC-V Processor users. 

 

All of the Ashling tools provide full support for the classicARC EM, ARC EV, ARC HS, ARC NPX, ARC VPX Processors as well as the more recent RISC-V ISA ARC-V based devices including the ARC-V RMX, ARC-V RHX and ARC-V RPX.     

 

Homogenous debug and trace support using the Ashling Probes is fully integrated into the Synopsys’ARC MetaWare Development Toolkit(MWDT) user interface.   

 

Designers targeting heterogeneous (e.g., Arm-Cortex + ARC) based SoCs will find full multi-core debug and trace support is provided using Ashling’s RiscFree software debugger via a single debug  (or debug and trace) probe interface. RiscFree also provides debug support for pre-silicon use of software simulators (e.g. Synopsys VCS) and hardware-based emulation platforms (e.g. Synopsys HAPS and ZeBu) including support for JTAG interfacing over TCP/IP.
